ctrl + P: Monday and mundane me

3:23 AM

Yeah, this is my second blog. So, the day was kinda boring but had its moments. It started with me getting up at 8:40 AM—on a Monday morning when I was supposed to be at school by 8. Couldn’t care less about being late, though. I had to go for file submission, and honestly, I was fine with just showing up whenever.

Fast forward to the end of the school day, my friends, their friends, and I ended up clicking pictures with the teachers. Totally unplanned, but it was fun. Small moments like that make the day better. Oh, and about the projects? Yeah, couldn’t submit them. One wasn’t complete, and for the other, the teacher hit me with a “you’re late.” I just left without saying a word—left the door wide open, too.

Now, the third lecture? That’s where things got weird. Something happened that tied back to yesterday, but worse. So, a group of girls sitting in the middle row decided it was the perfect time to blast something on their phone at full volume. Unreal. I couldn’t believe it at first and had to check with our little secret signs. Turns out, I was right. 8/10 drama as expected, but I’m skipping the details. Privacy matters.

After school, I got home completely drained. Crashed on the bed and didn’t even realize when I fell asleep. Woke up at 2:34 PM, suddenly remembering a test. Rushed to complete the figures and graphs for the project, studied a bit, and then headed to coaching. In going in to the coaching I captured the moon again, have a look!

The evening? A whole new level of chaos at Suvidha. Needed evaluation forms printed, but the place was packed. Uncle at the counter was already losing it—18 people shouting for their prints. Dev showed up, and I told him, “When you get your prints done, grab me two copies too.” Before that, we had a good half-hour chat about random stuff.

When it was finally my turn, Dev asked, “Do you even know how to use a computer?” I replied, “Asking a lion to roar?” Ended up helping him print three sets of his project documents by just pressing ctrl + P.Honestly, Ctrl+P sums up our education system perfectly. Projects aren’t about learning or creativity anymore; they’re just tasks to print, submit, and forget. It’s like the system values the act of Ctrl+P more than the thought and effort behind the work.

Got back home and told Mum about my board plans. She hit me with, “I only need marks above 95. The rest is your problem.” That stung a little, but I guess she’s not wrong. Later, papa surprised us by making coffee. He was in a great mood after his workout and even sang his favourite 2000s Kumar Sanu's song "ae Kash ke hum hoosh m ab aane na payye" while handing out cups. Best dad move ever. THE BEST DAD FOR SURE

He asked how my test went, and I said it was okay, except for one six-marker I might mess up. His advice? “Revise it now.” So, I did.

And now here I am, signing off at 4:15 AM. Yeah, my sleep schedule’s fucked up again, but at least I got stuff done today. That counts, right?

Goodnight/good morning
